Heart & Soul Since The Age of Twelve, And You Can Truly Hear And Feel It In His Music called “ 2 The Soul Gospel or As Some Say “ Soul Gospel “..

Brother Jay was born In Brooklyn, New York and was Raised by his mother known as Ella Mae.. His Mother was a seamstress and a uniquely talented woman with a Vocal Range of 3 1/2 Octaves. And she was also a member of The Green Light Gospel Singers. A Traditional Female Quartet Group that traveled all over New York and Brooklyn. But every where they went Brother Jay was there too. So with-out really noticing what was happening Brother Jay [ Julius J Wright } was literally growing and discovering some gifts of his own. At the age of 12 Brother Jay figured he’d enter the school Talent Show. To Do The James Brown. That’s Right James Brown. An On That Day before his mother’s eyes and to his surprise he turn the place out dancing & singing and won his first Award. Today This Is known as his American Idol Experience. With –In The next year he was Directing A Youth Choir Called The House of David Youth Choir all over Brooklyn New York And Discovered That Music Was All In His Soul ,As Well As The Word His Mother had Put In His Heart. Brother Jay’s So Glad she did so cause when he’d grow up and depart he’d 1 day return to His father God who was always waiting for His Return. Around the age of 14 ½ Brother Jay started loosing direction smoking a little weed and mischief was surely creeping up on his Life.. His mother decided to buy a home in Jacksonville, Florida , But with-out Brother Jay’s knowledge he thought it was just a new vacation.. But to his surprise he had been transplanted to a place that felt like it was 20 years behind Time.. Jacksonville, Florida. So with-out many friendsand feeling Isolated. He did something totally different 1 day and that was going to a Rock Concert and seeing Led Zepplin, Arosmith And ZZ Top , Black Sabbath And REO Speed Wagon.

He Life was totally changed he heard so much Rock & Guitars He felt that If they could do it, he could do it. With In 2 months his mother brought him a Bass and with-in 4 months he was playing a Bass Like He Was Born To Play. Brother Jay became a Rocker.. That’s Right A Rock And Roll Artist. Traveling all through Florida and stepping further into his Destiny. When he graduated High School he started traveling in Rock Bands through Florida.

Then he decided to move to Atlanta where he became a well known Bass Player in the Night Clubs & Churchs. But Deep In His Spirit Something Just Wasn’t Right. He felt there was something more for him to do. So Brother Jay started writing and creating his own music music for the Soul. And Then things started going shifting. After years of promises by people whom he thought would help him progress as a Star , The Promises never happened. So 1 night a man called him up 2:oo am in the morning that wanted to listen and hear his music and asked to come by his home and studio and see what was happening.. Honestly Brother Jay was excited and thought this must be the break he longed for. As they laughed and spoke about his dreams the Investor decided to pay all his bills,move him into a condo and help him progress. But with in the next hour the Investor asked if he could take a hit and I said sure. Out came Cocaine , he lined it on my coffee table and said would like a hit and I said that’s alright.. but with-in the next 2 hours I felt that if I did what he did we would become tighter cause I wanted this Break.

This break was just a trick of the enemy and after 6 months of this Brother Jay was Addicted and was about to lose everything. But remember He Chose to take the hit. And he went into homelessness, addiction in and out of Jail and became a Beggar On The Streets of Atlanta.. Brother Jay Lost everything he had clothes, equipment, home respect ,self pride and even his desire to Play Music.. So after 11 years of wilderness living The Prodical returned back to Florida In an attempt to regain some since on his Life” God Met Him There. He reconnected to a Father who was never really ever in his Life. And The Change Began. It’s Amazing The Power of Forgiveness Can Change And Heal Anything or Anyone. After making it through 1 year of Sobriety , life was making a turn-around.

But His Mother became ill with Cancer Brother Jay almost relapsed due to the pressure but on his Mother’s Death Bed. God Told Him To Sing Her a Song? So He sang her a song of his own an Original called “ Well Done My Son “ and as he cried while he was walking out of the Room His Mother’s Soft voice called Him And she said Son, Son, Son. And as he raced to her bedside She said “ I Believe If You Write Songs For The Lord , Everythings Gonna Be Alright. She Never Spoke To Anyone Again…A Miracle Happened On That Day .But he Never For-Got It.. He was Passed The Torch of Life, Ministry & Music that would take him to his Destiny & Purpose. Brother Jay built his own studio with-in 5 years. Started recording his Soul Gospel only as a way of Therapy To not return to the Life he use to live.. But instead God revealed to him that his songs were not for him, but someone else the world. He now a accomplished d pianoist , bass-player, guitarist and vocalist.. He’s Now On His 7th Cd in 10 years and there’s no stopping him for God Has “Got His Back.” His Motives are Not In Money or Millions But Touching Lives All over the World. For Brother Jay Say’s If He Takes Care of God’s Business He’ll Take Care of My Business.

So every since his Breakthrough in 1996 The Struggles have been Tough, But Brother Jay’s hanging On In There And On His Way Up… Now Saved & Delivered from what once had him Bound. He’s now Writing, Singing And Preaching with a Purpose & Cause 4 The Souls of Man. He’s won various Awards Like The Faith Awards With “ Where Is Your Faith” & Song of the year “ Don’t Let Him Steal Your Joy “ So From Brother Jay The Man God Brought Back From Crack With A message In Music Word & Song. Never Give Up Cause It Ain’t Over Til God Says.
