"A Man and His Piano"
One Day While Returning Home To Jacksonville, Florida from Atlanta,Georgia
Brother Jay was in need of a Good Vacation. Spending A Little Time with The
Family And His Mother he would relieve him-self from the struggles of the Big
City and just Chill Out. As he Kissed his mom and walked around the house of
his earlier years he stepped into the den and there was something there that
made him smile.. "The Piano" He asked his mom when did you get this and
she said last year And He Said This is Nice.. As The Day's of his vacation
went on he constantly returned to the piano plucking notes
was or where it came from but his Ears Felt Something That Felt Good To His Soul. So when Saturday Night came it was Time To Party and Hit the Clubs.
Strange as it was In the Club he kept Hearing the Piano In His Head. So with-in
2 hours he felt compelled to call it a night and he return home and played
or discovered chords until 3:31am in the morning.. Mother never bothered
him or asked him to stop. So On the next day which was Sunday mother
asked if he was going to Church and he said Sure.. During the service
the Pastor asked if he would like to Sing a Song or Something and he Said Yes.
For earlier that morning on the Piano he wrote his first song called " If I Make
1 Step " God Will Make 2 Steps , Even thought he played fluid Bass guitar
this was totally of the beaten path.. But While he Played his 4 chords and
was singing his song a Window In His Spirit Opened.And He saw his hands
glowing like the Golden letters your reading now.And he heard a Quiet Voice
Say if you learn to Play the Piano I'll Teach You to Write Songs For The World.
Then He cried and Believed that something special was for him and The Piano.
On Returning To Atlanta,Georgia he found Georgia State University, in Downtown Atlanta,which had a Piano Hall for there Students.. And Brother Jay
started hanging around the piano hall so much everyone thought he was a student. He would Go inside the piano room and put paper on the window,
take a cassette recorder and a note pad a play and bang, play and bang until
things really started to come together.. With-In 6 months he was doing gigs
like Piano Bars & 4 Starr Restaurants.. And This Became the life of The Man And His Piano.. So with-out real professional training Brother Jay learned to use
what he has . His Gift and Make Due with his Talents To the best of His ability. So After 11 years of Addiction and Making the Wrong Choices ,and Walking Away From The Music In His Head. He's Now Back with 10 years of Sobriety And Playing Piano Like He Never Has Before.. 1 Day At A Time. And It's Called "Purpose " For With-Out Purpose Life Has No Meaning And Neither Does The Music.. So Now you Know the Story About " The Man And His Piano"
